hi, i am planning to fly out to AZ on the day of my interview.. i checked the shuttle service (on the AZ interview website) and it says that it cost $26 (each way!) from the PHX sky harbor airport to the school..

was that the same for everyone?? ASDOH told me the closest aiport was PHX sky harbor.. $52 dollars for round trip is kinda ridciulous..am i doing something wrong? please help. thanx

how many miles is the airport to the school? or would a taxi be cheaper?

No sounds about right. Its pretty far from the airport to the school and public transportation in Phoenix sucks. I'd look into renting a car if I were you.

don't take a cab, I did and it was $45+ one way to my hotel which was right by the school

i would, but i'm flying in the morning of my interview, and flying out right after.. so car i don't think would be worth it..

did anyone else find a cheaper method?

dude, rent a car. They have a corporate discount on the website. That way you just do what you gotta do in your own time frame. Its definitely cheaper than 52 bones

That corporate discount doesn't save you any money, the trick is that if you're thinking about renting a car rent one outside of the airport. Look on google there is plenty of car rental places in Phoenix. They are about $20-30 per day. The airport I believe charges you like 60% more bc of taxes. They are their own city.

Rent a car!! I took a cab and it cost $56 to get to the school from the airport (one way!). I did Supershuttle on the way back which was $27. So even if it costs you $25 a day to rent a car (which you should be able to find on Priceline) it is well worth it!!

20-30 dollars a day for a car??! wow that' s so cheap! i thought it was near 100! that's great news..my only question is,....

do you have to be 25 to rent a car?? i'm only 22 =( ..well actually, i'll be 23, the interview is a day after my bday.

Oh, I see MrBubbles already got to it 🙂 but in case anybody else needed it!

I have a reservation for a car rental with the corporate ID...its like 36 plus taxes and it comes to 49 total for a day. Still cheaper than the 52 and with a little more freedom. And I'm ony 22. You only need to be 25 if you want the luxury and above class cars or SUVs etc.
