Unless its a BS/MD not impressed. Its a low tier private school. You can't lean on tuition as an excuse for going there and all the leaves you with is: You couldn't get into a more prestigious school.
Drexel has a highly regarded reputation. But prestige is not the point. There is no reason to go to a prestigious school. Factors I consider:
-Does it have a medical school? [Yes]
-Does it have an undergraduate research program? [Yes]
-More than 7,500 students? [Yes]
-Relatively low cost? [No]
-Can I get into it? [Probably]
-Good location? [Good]
-Solid academic record? [Yes]
-Access to city/nightlife? [Yes]
I probably won't apply to Drexel. I see no reason in paying for a "prestigious" school when I can go to a good school for a much lower cost.
In terms of what I can get into, I don't think you are a reputable judge of that.
1. I go to a rigorous high school (Top 1% of the nation, 90% AP pass rate, etc.)
2. I have solid extracurriculars, community service, etc.
3. You're a brit
4. My test scores are fairly decent. I haven't taken the SAT yet, but given my PSAT score I'm looking at upward of 1900 possibly 2000.
Just curious, where did you go to school?
