i'm a bit behind in the pre-med game, and i already know that i'll be applying a year later than i should be. i had trouble figuring out classes and fitting stuff in because i was first trying to transfer out of my school and then worry about med school.

for the summer, i'm thinking of doing:
-physics I and II plus their labs and an english class (i have 2 writing classes but i believe only 1 can be counted as part of my year of english requirement)
- shadowing
- research

the last 2 assuming i can find someone to let me lol. i've e-mailed tons of profs at a local school but so far no one has any openings or they haven't replied at all. any tips on this?

i know taking prereqs over the summer isn't really good, but i don't have a choice because of residency/major requirements at my new school. i'll be taking bio, orgo, and some upper division sciences here though.

Just study. Same boat as you. I took chem 1&2 over summer last summer. Physics 1&2 this summer (along with internship, volunteering, mcat studying, and drinking). It's possible. Just treat your summer like the school year, which means the week is for work if you can. I'll be taking the MCAT in july, and being complete a little later than I'd like. But you can only do what you can do. Only things I can stress are time management and study skills. If you don't have them, learn them lol.
