Hi, I was hoping to get some thoughts on whether my progress is ok to pass the usmle? I'm kinda asking just because of the variation in my scores (especially the NBME ones). Please note, I'm only interested in passing the USMLE, not very concerned about getting a super high score

NBME 5: 157 (done about 8 weeks before)
Uworld assessment 2: 192 (4 weeks before test)
NBME 7: 177 (3 weeks before test)
Free 150: 75% (2 weeks before test, estimates to about a 220-something)
Uworld assessment 1: 215 (7 days before test)

Thanks!

Hmm, frankly I think the NBMEs are bad mojo - I think the font does something to my reasoning abilities (or something). Plus, they're 50/60 bucks a pop, and look who's on a budget.

Long story short, no, no more NBME's 😉

LOL i feel you Brother 😀

Judging from your Uworld assessment and free 150 I would say you are good to at least pass the test. I made a 77% on my free 150 about 3 weeks prior to my test and felt confident walking into and out of the exam earlier this week. Just be confident and know that during the exam you will be challenged with things you may have never seen before and tackle them with reasoning to the best of your abilities without second guessing yourself and freaking out. I can't recall anyone's score that I know of dropping more than 20 pts from a previous practice exam. If anything it was usually within 5-10 points of their last one AND generally higher(regardless of the type, NBME, USAW etc) I have confidence if you! Good luck!
