Hello everyone,
So this is the situation I'm in. I've been planning my 4 aadsas letters of rec for a while now and determined that my 4 were going to be 1 from my prosthodontist that I've shadowed, 2 from chem professors(as a biochemistry major, I took way more upper-div chem courses), and 1 from a professor that I've worked for in the lab. This is mostly because I know all of these people very well and I know they would write me an outstanding recommendation. Problem is now, and this is my fault for not checking earlier, I've checked schools like Tufts that have a requirement like 1 bio, 1 chem/biochem/physics/math, and 1 general dentist.
So now this completely messes up what I had planned. I do have a bio professor I could ask that would write me a decent letter and a general dentist I've shadowed that would write me a fairly good letter as well. I wanted to have them mail their lor specifically to Tufts. I called Tufts the other day and although they do say that it is possible to do this, they highly recommend against it and it would really delay the reviewing process. What do you guys think? Are they just saying that to try to get me to get it all in aasdas, or is it really as harsh as they make it seem. Tufts is a top choice for me so I really want to best my chances, but not hinder my aasdas application with lower quality LORs. I plan to submit my application mid-late june and would ask my bio prof/general dentist to mail their letters around that time too. Thanks!
