Anyone know whether a sports booked titled "Clinical Sports Medicine" by Peter Brukner and Karim Khan is any good?

One of my attendings just showed me an older copy that he had in his library and it looked pretty good.

Any thoughts?

I think it's a really good book, exhaustive yet easy to read, but probably not worth the $$$$$ if you're not planning on doing sports in your career.

I love the book. Excellent read and It is very thorough. Multiple fellowship directors have recommended the book to me.

I've not looked at that book yet... how does it compare to the ACSM Primary Care Sports Medicine text? I don't own a sports med book yet and was thinking of getting one. I guess one advantage to Brukner/Kahn is that the 3rd edition just came out this month, ACSM is 2007.

Check that...Brukner/Kahn 3rd ed is 2006. Not sure what I was looking at.
