thoughts on this respiratory book?

If you're an M1, West is excellent for respiratory physiology. Excellent! I read the whole book and parts probably a few times and understood things quite well and respiratory is a subject a lot of my classmates struggled with. I wouldn't pay $37 though. I used an old copy for $4. Lilly has more pathology. Naturally, it's a much thicker book. West for the basics and you'll have a solid framework.

OP, the above poster is referring to this book:

NOT the one you linked in your initial post. I personally haven't heard anything (good or bad) regarding the book you linked. I thought the West book for M1 year had occasional poorly-written sections (which made things far more confusing than they needed to be), so if the book you linked is anything similar to that, I don't think it will compare well to Lilly's at all. I don't have pulmonary path until next semester, but have you tried Pathoma + Rapid Review?

thanks for the advice. I have pathoma and RR, but I didnt start respiratory yet.

I was looking for an alternative to Robbin's for respiratory, but I'll give Robbins a whirl with Pathoma and RR then for the pathophysio.
