Thoughts on University of Virginia? perhaps vs AE-Monte and U Rochester?

I'm trying to sort out rankings for UVA, my gf is interested because its as far south and warm as I went.
But I did like the chance to do peds neuro, peds clinic and a selection of medicine electives.
What are your thoughts on the quality of the department?
and if you are a LOCALl, the risk of the Commonwealth Childrens center closing and the diversity or lack of diversity in the population?
Any one also interview at Rochester or AE-Montefiore (sp?)

As for UVA, I'm not a local but I have been looking at local articles and it seems that the commonwealth center is closing this year. I'm curious as to what that means for the psych residents at UVA. What changes are underway for the program due to this?

Do you happen to have a link to an article that says its going to close? Have you email your concerns to the program or fellowship?

i overstated things a little bit, it's not clear whether the site is going to close or not. People are fighting it, so we have to wait and see. I'm sure the program will have some alternatives, I am just curious about what they are.

Anyone with questions about UVA should email the PD or one of the chief residents and ask. I know for a fact that they rank people solely based on interest in the application--not related to post-interview correspondence.

Can you clarify: "interest in the application"
