I'm just curious to hear what people thought of the UT HSC at San Antonio program. They cut back to 8 residents since they are changing hospitals. Sure the transition wouldn't be fun but won't residents be changing between hospitals/rotations each month anyways? Anyone been in a program under transition before?

Also, they seem to have perks from working with CHOP.
Just curious, thanks!

I personally didn't apply there this year after them initially closing the program all together. I was really sad because I heard really good things about the program when I was talking to the Class of 2012 last spring about their interview experience. When I talked to a current MS4 from there on my interview trail she also felt the need to go elsewhere. I have a lot of faith this will be a solid place to be in awhile but I don't see being in a hospital that's transitioning like that to be a good thing unless you don't have better residency prospects and really need somewhere to go.

Another concern I had stems from this article http://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local_news/article/Famed-hospital-coming-to-S-A-3847536.php

They said that the new hospital would be for-profit which would not count towards PSLF (correct me if I am wrong but this was my understanding of PSLF)... just a thought I had.
