I'm two years into my undergrad with a 2.5 GPA and was wondering if I have a realistic chance of getting my GPA up to a 3.4ish in 6 semesters. Have you heard of similar situations? Any motivation, advice? Thanks.

Only you can answer this. If you literally ace every course from now on, what will your GPA be?

If you ace 50% and B 50%?

People have made it into med school after bombing entire UG degrees, once they reinvented themselves.

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll end up around 3.1. If I'm strong in other departments, I might still have a chance at an MD school right?

@Goro

P.S. Thank you, I guess I have seen big turnarounds on here

You didn't ask me but a 3.1 cGpa is too low for MD and awfully low for DO. The average MD GPA is around a3.7 and DO is up near 3.5 or so(I think). You'll need a SMP for MD and grade replacement for DO. Also your MCAT will have to be stellar.

Do the math?

But forreal, you have some serious turning around to do. Aim for all A's. Plan on doing a SMP
