FINALLY (after about 1 month) my final LOR came in thru pharmcas=) I am very excited!

The first 3 were quick.. a week or less! But this last one took almost a month and was stressing me out 🙂

Going to e-submit pharmcas tonight.. just doing some last minute revisions to my PS!

How's everyones app process coming along???

It'll be nice to be done! =) 😎
 
Good work! I submitted a while ago, got my calculated gpa's, and have submitted 2 supps so far. Some of the schools won't send me the supp until they receive the PharmCAS app, so I'm waiting on those.
I just hate waiting for the PCAT scores :scared:.
It'll feel good to be done with all of this so we can relax a while.

I keep meaning to ask you -- did you take the PCAT 5 times? or are those each of your subsection scores?

But good job on the PCAT!! That combined with your GPA, you'll def get in :-D
 
Ya, I think 5 times is the max. You should take it 5 times, then post all 25 scores in a 5 x 5 grid. 👍
 
Omg you guys all started on your supp parts and also sent in!? Now i'm nervous b/c i haven't even done anything. Jeeze guys i'm screwed !!

eek, i feel nervous too! i haven't turned my pharmcas in or done the supplementals yet. can you submit your supplementals before you do the pharmcas?

It depends on the school.

I submitted my supplemental to Belmont and Wingate before I submitted my PharmCAS.

However, some schools will not let you access the supplemental before finishing the PharmCAS.
 
just wondering, in non-california schools, are supplemental applications common?

I probably spent 90% of my time on my supplementals vs pharmcas!

I applied to 10 school and did supplementals for all of them. Well, one didn't have a supplemental, but they just wanted $25. The California schools seem to have a more difficult supplemental vs the rest.

stop worrying, i didn't turn in my pharmcas until november and supplementals in december and still got into 5 schools. gees, people on here really are over-acheivers, just take your time with the personal statement and submit when you're truly ready. don't rush your application because once you hit that esubmit button, there is no turning back.
 
more like..."we need to money too". pharmcas takes 1st cut, then schools wants a piece of the money-making action too 😡

1 month only? It took my last two LORs 2 1/2 months to get the LORs into pharmcas (one was a week before the final deadline). That was a very scary moment.

reminds me of matrices. good ol' hs days where we had to multiple add divide etc those matrices


ffpickle, have you heard some of the radio edits , that "lonely loner"... lol
I'm sick of the 99% crap they play on the radio, but I find that song catchy.

some schools just want you to send them the money and don't get back to you until months later when you're already accepted somewhere else.

I was planning to apply there but after I read school website again, I noticed that school needs BS so I withdrew it.

No, I just did the PharmCAS stuff for Fall of 2010 for USC, UCSF and UoP... I'm a year behind all of you cool cats. =-)

So I still get the fun of interviewing and waiting on letters, etc. YAY!

oh yeah! i remember you. i think we had some dirty jokes going on...then again, half my posts on sdn fall in that category :meanie:
 
wow! you kids are surely quick with those apps. i'm still waiting to hear back from my prof's for my LOR's, which is now worrying me since neither of them teach summer. do you think my app will be too late if i hear back in august when they return for fall semester?
 
I just went and skimmed through the giant information pdf thing about the pharmcas and I'm feeling a tad bit overwhelmed. ahhhhh. So from what I understood by my skimming, the LORs are just general letters about why we would be successful in any pharmacy school? not for any specific schools? and is there some kind of questionare that the LOR writers have to fill out about us?😕

correct....i got to see my actual physical pharmcas file (it's like green/pink...weird) and LOR's aren't specific to a school. There are simple questions (scale of 1-5 i think) the person would check off, that's about it.
 
How did you get to see your file? and...so there is no letter at all and just the questionnaire...or the letter AND the questionnaire

You can submit your application while you wait for them to submit your LORs, if you are done with the rest of the application.

I most definitely will do that, but i haven't gotten their consent to write me a letter yet, so i still can't submit. 🙁
