Our professor asked us a question from a case he had, if i can get the possible answers that would be great. He didn't give us many details just summarized it.
Patient is 50, and Female
She was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism recently. Her T3 and T4 were elevated and TSH was only moderately low.
She was prescribed medication (Anti Thyroid Drugs). Her T3 T4 returned to normal but her TSH was 4-5 times higher than the normal value.
Most of the class said Secondary Hyperthyroidism but the professor said that wasn't the answer. Anyone have any ideas?
