  1. Pre-Veterinary
Today at my clinic, we had a orthopedic specialist come in to perform a TTA on a Boxer with a blown ACL.

After respectfully asking the Doctor if I may observe/assist, I found myself in the surgery room masked/gowned/scrubbed up.

I must say, this procedure was awesome to watch.

If anyone knowns of any specific articles that give more in depth information about the procedure, please send me the link.

I just have a two page summary of the pre/post surgery functioning of the CCL and the comparisons of TTA's to TPLO's.

Thanks.

...And to all my fellow undergrads.. if you ever get a chance to observe a TTA, take it, awesome procedure

Can't vouch for any of the content, including age of. Just grabbed it after a quick search:

Ha ha! Otto Lanz....he's my musculoskeletal/ortho surg prof. And we just took a test including CrCL stuff. It's really an interesting procedure - Ortho is all about mechanics when you really think about it - balancing forces and pull and whatnot. Although we are all quite annoyed at him now because the test was very nitpicky.
