Time from secondary submission to be marked complete

Hi sorry if this is a dumb question. I submitted all secondaries by late July and for some schools I got an immediate email saying my file is complete. All my LORS and other stuff have been in since May. However, for some schools I only received the complete email today (a month after submitting everything). I also have no MD interviews despite having several DO interviews. My neurotic brain is telling me something is wrong with my MD app but I've looked over everything and it looks the same as my DO app. Is this normal? Is the MD cycle just slower than the DO?

Each school is different. I got a lot of mine immediately, but there are other schools that take over a month to consider your app complete.

Yes. The difference is merely automatic completion versus someone verifying your application (almost always for LOR) before marking it complete.

It's good to note that if they take this long to verify your secondary, that they may take just as long (or probably longer) to decide on inviting you for an interview or not. Helps put this long wait into perspective. 🙂
