Hey guys!

My DAT is in a month and I am worried since I keep running out of time on the PAT section. If I do the practice test without the timer, I don't have a problem figuring out the right answer. Its just when I do time myself, I ran out of time and don't get to do questions I would have easily gotten if time wasn't a factor. How do I improve the time problem? I do DAT Bootcamp generators almost every day. I don't what else I can try to do? Any tips??

Thanks for your help! 🙂

Practice practice practice. Cube counting and hole punching should be done very quickly and you should be getting 30/30 on them as they are the easiest. Try starting with them and skipping around.

Yup, start with the easy stuff first and hard stuff last. I jumped straight to hole punches, then cubes, pattern, TFE, angles, and keyholes since keyholes were the hardest for me. Try to finish hole punches and cubes 5-6 min or less. Angles shouldn't also take more than 6 min. That way you get about 40 min to do TFE, keyholes, and pattern.

Keep timing yourself and try to aim for accuracy instead of speed first. Speed comes after you've become proficient with the generators. Good luck!
