Hi
I wanted to ask how long it takes from the time you submit your application (after graduation) until your application gets processed and the time you get your permit to register for exam. I graduate in May and wanted to see if I have a shot at taking the exam before july?

Thanks a lot

I applied in CT and my turnaround from date of application to scheduling permit was just under 2 weeks. The hardest part for me has been trying to find available dates to write in Chicago

I'm also trying to do the same thing. According to the FSMB website, it could take up to 6 weeks to process applications for new graduates (to "verify degrees"). Has anyone actually signed up right after graduation and successfully gotten their permit by early June?

Superfly24, did you apply right after graduation?

Here's my timeline for people looking to take Step 3 right after graduation.

I officially graduated (diploma in hand) on May 20. I submitted my online application on May 15 (selected CT as my state) and mailed in my CID on May 16. Got an e-mail from FSMB on May 24 saying that my application was approved and that I would receive an e-mail within the next 3-5 days with instructions on how to print my scheduling permit. Was able to access my scheduling permit on May 26 (got an e-mail the same day I noticed that I could view it).

Now on to actually studying for this thing...

Make sure to check the FSMB Candidate website. I received the email 2 days after I saw my scheduling permit on the website.

Thanks for the heads up. Been keeping an eye on it, but nothing yet...

Followup: Got an e-mail on Saturday, May 26 saying that my scheduling permit was available. On the evening of May 25, I logged onto the website above and the permit was not available yet. So it seems FSMB is sending out e-mails a little quicker now.
