Hi,

Incoming Intern in IM at a community program in NY, starting next month. I'm posting, because I had a lot of academic difficulties in Medschool, and am worried I will encounter the same problems during residency.

With my intern year having 7 months of wards, 2 months of ICU and only 3 electives, how can I manage my time wisely? I'm the kind of person that needs dedicated study time to read/do questions so I'm worried about how I will successfully take and pass Step 3 during my PGY-1 year (my program requires this), and also be a good, efficient intern.

I also worry how I will manage being in a relationship and not neglect that aspect of my life, on top of being a great intern and studying, staying healthy, working out regularly.

I really am worried about myself, despite how happy I was to match. Any advice is appreciated.
