I'm currently a junior and I am planing on applying in this upcoming cycle. The only math credits I have are from AP Calculus AB from High school. I have taken a course under the biology department that taught statistics but used biology situations. Would it be possible for me to use this "Biostats" course as another semester of math? If I do decide to take another math course can I take it senior year even though I'm going to submit my applications this summer? Thanks!

1) Yes. Most if not all schools should be fine with this. Be sure to designate the course type as MATH even though the course prefix may be BioXXX.

2) For most med schools, as long as you complete the prerequisites by the time you matriculate (with a grade on your final transcript), you'd be fine, especially if it was listed as future coursework on your application. But there are some schools that require all prereqs be completed before application, and at least two that require they be done before January of the application year, so be on the look out for the exceptions.
