How long does it take to study for the DAT? I was thinking about 2-3 months to get everything back down solid. Also, any suggestions on what materials to study with? I used kaplan the first time and I was a little disappointed. (please dont spam this thread with destroyer bs)

2-3 months is good enough.

Try
DAT Destroyer at www.orgoman.com
DAT Achiever at www.3tquest.com
Topscore at www.scholarware.com
Kaplan Blue Book at www.kaptest.com
Schaum's at www.amazon.com

How much time just depends on how well you know the material ahead of time. I would lean more toward 3-4 months of 4-8 hours of studying a day.
This was my plan of attack take it or leave it..

Begin in April took the test in July. Studied about 4-8 hours a day. 8-10 hours solid a week before my exam.

--Started with Kaplan big book and online materials. Proved to be a good starting point more of a review/overview of the topics covered but not detailed enough. Especially in the biology section.
--Went through Destroyer twice. Answered 15 questions at a time then looked up the answer and all of the wrong answers.
--Used my old organic textbook for further explanations
--Used Campbell's biology textbook
--AP Math workbook
--AP Chemistry workbook
--Audio Learn DAT series (okay for a quick overview)
--Used various online links for science sections

Bottom line plan ahead and take it when your ready. I hope this helps and good luck!!
