Hey peeps! lol
So, I realize the MCAT is going to be one of the hardest exams I will ever take in life, if not the hardest, so I want to be more than prepared when I take it. With that being said, I plan to take it the middle of May next year....about two weeks after I complete Orgo 1. Is it smart to start studying for it now? I've already completed both semesters of Physics, Bio1, Genetics, Gen Chem 1, Stats, Calc, and my English Comp classes. I would like to get a freaking 35 or better and study my *** off! I will be finishing up the 4 pre reqs this fall and next spring ( Chem 2, Orgo 1, Orgo 2 and Bio 2) and just taking two classes at a time...I'll probably retake Genetics....even though I remember a lot of stuff from it. I will also be volunteering and shadowing, and MAYBE working part time. Needless to say, I am hoping for my postbacc gpa to be 3.7 or higher and top 80th % percentile or better MCAT score. And I have excellent ECs' already and will be doing more, as I've already mentioned. So let me know your opinions about how soon I should start studying. Med school is my dream and I WILL make it become a reality : )

If you're taking it next May, don't start studying now. You'll probably get burned out. I took mine near the end of May, and I started studying in January.

Also, don't retake classes. It's probably a waste of your time.

So you're applying next summer? I wouldn't start reviewing heavily until January if that's the case. I mean it wouldn't hurt to flip through some prep books and reacquaint yourself with some of the material, but it's by no means necessary.

yeah u will forget stuff

What about the verbal section?????
