I talked to you all earlier, and we decided that I should apply if I was verified by Sep 4 or so.

My Aug 4 MCAT didnt work out so it happened Aug 19th. The scores are released Sep 21. That makes my primary in on Sep 21 earliest.

My stats are decent, I spent a lot of time in a non-medical field and arrived at medicine as my career path. (I took time outside of medicine to figure out its what I wanted to do).

Anyway, my advisor had told me to apply Jun 1st, but that was'nt realistic for me (probably for a lot of other people, too.)

A friend just told me that he applied to Top Tiers around the time that I my applications would be going in now. He has good stats but He didnt have any luck. Though, I dont have top tiers in my sights.

im fully ready to drop the app until next year...do you think I should drop? Is my app in a bad situation? As of now I only have one school tacked on it.

I would call my MCAT a 33-36. GPA 3.12

Even with a 35 MCAT your GPA is too low to be applying this late. Unless you have your sights on an instate school AND you don't care about gambling 1k or 2k on apps, wait till next year. At this point in the game, an extra year can only help.

Thanks for your advice, eldoctor. I think it is sound.
