hi everyone. i'm about to enter my sophomore yr of undergrad and just recently decided that i would like to attend dental school. could someone please provide a (chronological) rundown of the typical application process for a student planning to attend dental school straight from college? I've been lurking on these boards for a while now and have learned a lot, but kind of need to see where each component of the process fits in the big application picture. for example, i keep hearing people advise that applicants "apply early." what does this mean?

thanks!

Applying early means that you submit your AADSAS application by or before June 1.
Fall of junior year: Look into what schools you would like to apply to and start studying to take the DAT. Intern or shadow a dentist.
Winter of junior year: Register to take the DAT before June 1 so you have an idea of what schools you should apply to given your scores on DAT and GPA.
Spring of Junior year: Take DAT and finish/submit AADSAS application
Senior year: Celebrate, because you got accepted into the school of your choice

Thanks tiny! When is the AADSAS deadline for applications?

also, if you apply spring of jr year, does that mean all your predental courses (gen chem, orgo, bio, & physics) have to be completed by then (in other words, all predental classes need to be completed before senior year)? when in senior year would you hear a decision?
