Hi everyone,

I was wondering if I can submit LORs and transcripts to schools w/o my application. I will submit my application later. Will schools toss them away if they don't have my application on file? Or will they keep them in an "unknown" batch? Have any of you guys done that? I really want to get what I can right now out of the way. I haven't written my PS so I can't send in my application just yet 🙁

Also, for LORs my professors will send them directly to schools but I'm still wondering how will the schools know those are my LORs. My LORs will only have my name on it..not SSN or birthdate 😕

Any advice is helpful. Thanks everyone!

These schools need complete applications UCBSO, SCCO, Pacific, UHCO, IU, NOVA and SUNY (i'm not quite sure about other schools - you'll have to check with them)

so transcripts and LORs need to be submitted before the deadline to be considered, but asap if you want to take advantage of rolling admissions

Optometrists are ******ed! The only reason people become an optometrist is because they couldn't get into medical school. A REAL eye doctor has an M.D. or a D.O. and is called an opthamologist!

the next time you need prescription for glasses/contact lense/bifocals go to an ophthalmologist and see what happens. please take your attitude somewhere else..

anyways, does anybody else have an answer to my question. can i submit my LORs and transcripts w/o my application as i will submit it later on..

Most schools will take anything they recieve from you (transcripts, LORs, etc) and put it in a file with your name on it. So given that your transcripts and LORs have your full name, you should be fine. But of course I would call the school to make sure.

Yes, you can send in application materials before sending the actual applicaion. As someone stated earlier, the school will make a file with your name on it and continue collecting incoming mail. But make sure you call the schools to make sure they have received the materials being sent.
