Sorry to raise question again.

Was there an old thread about the best recommended timeline to apply?
if I take MCAT in June and apply in July, would that be too late?

also if I only have required prerequisites done with a previous bachelors degree , is that OK? I know some people took a lot of highter level classes before they send out application. If I do it like this and get rejected, will I leave them a bad impression about myself?
somebody warn me if I apply like that and fail ,I would have to substantially improve myself in order to get in the second year.

Need some advise, thank you so much.

If you take a June MCAT and send in your primary to AMCAS/transcripts to AMCAS early in June so they are certified by the time the MCAT result comes out in July, then your entire application will go to the schools you applied to by July, and that would not be too late. You could consider only listing one school on the primary, until you get the MCAT result back, then add your other schools if the MCAT is competitive, so you won't waste as much money if you don't like your score. When you add the rest of the schools, the whole application will be sent to those schools immediately.

I don't completely understand the second question. Some schools have a time limit within which you must complete the prerequisites. If you completed those courses 5-10 years ago, you might call the admissions office of schools you are interested in to check and see if they'll be accepted. There is no point to applying and wasting dollars if old classes "have expired". Higher level science classes are not "required", especially if you were a non-science major. But taking them (and getting As) is a good idea if your science GPA was not high, to demonstrate that you can do more intense coursework.

June is fine for the MCAT.
Try to get in your app around the same time (or sooner).
It can take up to 2 months to get everything verified.
You can add additional schools if needed when your MCAT comes out.

I took my MCAT in July and had no problems.

Upper level courses can only help your chances if you do well. Many non-science major applicants have few if any of these courses. I had none when I applied.
