Not really just a specific anesthesiology question, but you guys seem to share the knowledge well........did anyone not take USMLE Step 1 after 2nd year, and procrastinate until late 3rd / early 4th year to take Step 1?

If so, any information on if residency directors look at when the test was taken or simply do they just care about the score, regardless of when it was taken?

Any info would be great

At my medical school, you HAD to take Step 1 before doing third year clerkships, check your school req's. It's better to take Step 1 sooner rather than later...it's a very specific test over the basic sciences.
Just take it!
