I've read in a number of places that it's best to send secondaries back within two weeks.

I submitted my AMCAS on July 2, got my MCAT score back on July 20, and was verified on July 23. A few schools sent their secondaries right when I submitted the AMCAS, but I didn't return them until I received my MCAT score.

Does this look bad to schools? The reason I waited was to see if I would receive a decent MCAT score so that I didn't waste hundreds of dollars (money I don't have) on schools that I couldn't get into. I also figured schools wouldn't look at my secondary until they received scores and a verified AMCAS.

Thanks for your comments.

I don't think most schools care, unless they specifically state that their deadline is two weeks (which I've seen from maybe one or two that I've looked into). Maybe if you applied early and then waited until right before the secondary deadline it would be a little weird, but it doesn't sound like you're going to do that, so you should be fine.

Even if you finish your secondary, most schools wont review your application until your most recent mcat scores are in. Personally the most explicit example ive seen this from is University of Pennsylvania. I have had my sec app totally complete (lors included) for weeks and they say they wont review it until the latest scores are in. I have emailed other schools, and they have told me the same.
