Submitted my primary for verification two days ago on July 2. Today I received a secondary. Typically, I've heard that it's important to turn secondaries around quickly, like within one week or maybe two, but since my application won't be verified for I'm assuming at least three weeks, is this still true?

It's a pre-med delusion that scedoncaries have to be turned around ASAP in order to show unfailing devotion to the school. Take your time and do them right. Also keep in mind that
secondaries are often a tax on the hopelessly naïve, if not pathologically optimistic.

How did you get a secondary without the primary having been verified yet? Did you add all your schools at once?

@mariposas905 Same thing happened to me, I added all my schools at once, submitted Sunday (7/1) and received a secondary from Tufts on Tuesday

^^ This exactly, mine was Tufts too. They clearly do not screen at all and are happy to take $125 from anybody lol

Agree with @Goro. Don't slack on them but don't feel you have to rush either. And if your primary isn't verified, it doesn't matter at all. Being complete as soon as possible is the goal, but with a well done secondary.
