I am going to finish my degree in the summer of 2007 (Org. Chem II will be my last class). When should I plan on taking the MCAT for the best advantage in applying early?
I understand that the MCAT is changing as well and will be offered more frequently in the future when the revisions are done.
Also- when I was reviewing the Mercer University School of Medicine's website, I ran across this-
Early Admissions
MUSM participates in the Early Decision as described in the AAMC publication entitled Medical School Admissions Requirements. In capsule, this means a student applies to only one school (prior to August 1st) and in turn has a definitive decision (prior to October 1st) which, if positive, is binding on both the applicant and the School. If the applicant is not accepted through this process, he/she may then apply to additional medical schools and the MUSM application is re-evaluated with the general applicant pool.
Is this common with early admissions?
