Tips for strong personal statement?

Anyone have any advice for writing a strong personal statement? It's the only thing on my application I'm stuck on.

Make it personal! Think about what you want the admissions committee to know about you and focus on 2-3 examples from your life that embody that! Show how your experiences taught you qualities as opposed to just listing "My time at .... taught me about leadership."
