I'm on the waiting list and I got an email from Houston yesterday asking if I had deposited at any other schools already. I don't know if it means anything, I'm just wanting to share the info.

All three schools made an agreement that if a person has a deposit paid after may 1st, they won't try to pick students from their lists.

They may have a spot open. They are probably interested in you but need to know if you've already paid a deposit. If you have, they will move to the next candidate.

Hey Alan just to give you a heads up. Someone who was accepted to Baylor was accepted recently to UTDB and I believe they're going so that will bump you up a spot or hopefully you're next in line. :xf:

Just got a rejection letter from SA after interviewing there in Jan.

Wish I could have stayed instate, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

When you say that all 3 schools made an agreement that if a person has a deposit paid after may 1st, then they try not to pick them off the list...do you happen to know if that is just an agreement between the Texas schools or including the other out-of-state schools?
 
My fiance just got a rejection from UTHSCSA today. She interviewed early Jan.

I believe it's just the Texas schools. That's what the lady from Baylor told me on the phone.
 
That's interesting because Astros1fan recently posted that someone who was accepted at Baylor recently got accepted at UTDB. Oh well, just curious.

The person I was talking about was accepted Dec. 1st at Baylor and recently heard from UTDB so I believe the deposit was given way before the May "deadline".

Any updates on whether this person for sure is going with UTDB and if they've already withdrawn from Baylor?

What if that person already deposited money to Baylor??? Didnt someone say earlier that Texas schools wont steal students from other texas dental schoo?
 
Well just received the mentor/mentee list for UTDB and from the looks of it the class is filled up. Good luck to you guys applying this cycle. Wish you the best (especially Alan and Danny you guys deserve to get in somewhere, hopefully this will be your year :xf:)

There may be one more spot available at Baylor. I don't know if the person off the waitlist that would get it has been notified though.

i on the other hand have not heard from any schools. 🙁 my application was verified on 8/11/09 but my rec letters weren't received until 8/21/09. My gpa is a 3.47 and science gpa is a 3.33. My top choice school is baylor. All they told me is my application is under review. I am starting to lose hope and i don't know what to do. I know there are a lot of people in the same boat as me...just don't feel alone.
