I really need advice on my current situation!!!!!
39 days out, have been reading and memorizing FA at once and I'm currently on endocrine. According to my schedule, I should be done reading and memorizing the book by the end of June which gives me a little over a week to "assess" my performance with NBME tests. According to the plan, I am supposed to do 3 NBME's during that week as well as UWSA1+2. Final review of FA on the weekend before the test and then test day.

Reading people's posts on here are making me really nervous. It seems like most of you guys assess yourselves throughout your dedicated study period. I would totally do that if I had finished reading FA but Im still half way through. The NBME test that our school made us take (form 6) was pretty bad but I hadn't done any real studying before then. I didn't want to test myself again and make another horrible score and get depressed about it for a week.

So my question for you is: Do you think I should abandon my schedule, read the rest of FA in 9 days. When I say read, I don't mean read and try to remember things because thats impossible to do in 9 days. So read it and finish it all in 9 days and then assess myself and at exactly 30 days out, make another schedule and set out to finish everything in 3 wks so that I have a wk before the test to 'test' myself?

PLEASE let me know what you think!!!!
Thanks!

I would suggest that you stick with your current schedule to read through it slowly so you can memorize as much as you can. I also see no reason to take a practice test right now if you haven't finished even one pass of first aid. However, I see no reason to do 5 practice exams in one week! That seems quite overkill. I would stick with 2 of them at the max, and use the rest of the days that week to review topics from first aid that you scored poorly on from the practice exams.

So you dont think i should test myself at this point? Im just worried that i wont be able to address my weaknesses if i leave the nbmes til the end. I feel like its a very risky move
