I did not make an X vs Y thread, but I would like to say that Coldplay's 'X & Y' sucked. They play the same three chords over and over, and have that guy who is married to Gwenyth (sp) Paltrow wail or moan or yodel or whatever quasi-pornographic thing he does with his voice. Coldplay, you suck.

I never started a thread but I picked VCU over New York Medical College- I picked VCU because of the cheaper cost of living and because I didn't really want to go back to dorm life at New York Medical College - Also when I sat down to fill out forms- pay the deposit etc- VCU's instructions were really easy to follow- so I just rolled with it 😀

I didn't start a thread, but I picked UAB over VCU (they would cost me about the same). I went w/UAB b/c of better research opps and the better feel I got from the school. I was really back and forth until the last minute though, b/c it would have been kinda nice to only be 2 hours from my parents, had I picked VCU.

I picked USC over MUSC because I got rejected from everywhere else in the US, and I figured as long as I was miserable and dejected, I might as well go all the way and live a few more years in Columbia, SC, the most depressing city on the planet. I didn't start an X vs. Y thread because people would have made fun of me, and probably pointed out that neither SC school even made the US News top 50, which is clearly the gold standard of worth for any US medical school. I'm gonna go eat a gun now.

Right in the middle of laughing at this, I realized I did have an x versus y thread myself (lol). With GW vs Northwestern, everyone thought "oh geez, c'mon girl, u know you are going to choose NW because its top 20). Whateva.

I chose GW because I really felt like I would be happier there (overall atmosphere), love DC!!! (and my new apt now 😍 ), great curriculum, and close to home. It also did not hurt that my b/f of 3 years got into a law school in DC. Yea, I love my choice and I am happier than ever. Glad I didn't listen to some people on this forum with their "oh choose the top 20 school, already) antics. 👎

I started a GW v Albert Einstein Thread

I chose GW - After getting over the ranking issue, there was nothing about GW that I didn't love.

-Brand new completely paperless hospital with an entire floor dedicated to early clinical eduation
-Its a down to earth school thats not focused on numbers (They told me that last year before I even applied which started my infatuation with it- I hate being judged by numbers) I think this is what will make a interesting, diverse, overall just great class of students to go to school with
-DC is a great city and GW is in the heart of it. (You can go chill for an hour or all night, its all local)

I am still stressin about the money, expensive school in an expensive city, but I have grown fond of my little old honda accord and clothes from forever 21 =)

I started a thread about the NY state schools, but was comparing Stony Brook, Buffalo, and Penn State. I agonized for weeks and weeks and finally picked Buffalo based on the tuition and location (close to a good support system). Then a week later, I was accepted to my top choice: Rochester. I just love how life works.
