Just a question to save my sanity (hopefully), how many B's (not B+'s) did you get in college?

too many to count.

Um, alot. And multiple C's. And a D. . .. B's certainly aren't the end of premed hope. If B's are you're biggest concern just take a deep breath cause you really have nothing to worry about.

I have 4 B's, and TONS (i mean tons) of B+'s...

It was one of my college goals to get no C's, and so far I've done that. We'll see if I can continue that now that my desire to do well has dropped to about 0...

No C's or W's, but 2B+'s, 2B's and a B-

...like in Analytical Chemistry, my one and only C in college... on the other hand, I had too many Bs to count and 4 B/Cs... "linear negative trend" from my 3.89 freshman year and by some miracle I still got accepted.

none, only 3 B+'s

You people make me sick. There is no set number of B's you can have to get into medical school. Quit bickering over your 3.85 GPA with 3 B's on your record. You'll get in so quit your whining! It doesn't take a perfect GPA and perfect MCAT to get in. Your personality and personal qualities are important too!

More B's than I want to count (I dunno 15 or better), 3 C's (though I retook one of those classes and technically 2 W's, but my school had a special policy for freshmen so they weren't actually W's even though AMCAS didn't care.

Still ended up with a 3.5 (3.6 science) with an engineering degree, and once I am done with my M.S. this year I will be at U of Rochester next year. So to people worried about B's, don't freak out over it.

I got a TON of B's, but nothing lower. Not sure if that made a difference or not...

Chemistry Major: 2 B+ (both in Physics, but made up for it by getting 14 in PS) and 2 A-.

Several Fs, Ds and Ws my first year along with the occassional A or B. Not too much better second year, but I transfered and bumped it up to a 3.0 after two awsome years (3.6 and 3.95 respectively.) So who knows - I have just started taking science courses (I just became premed) so in two years I could have an great science gpa and a 3.3 overall with a very strong upward trend. Maybe I'll get in to an MD program, but who knows. Best of luck to all.

You are mentioning your A-'s and somehow segwaying to bragging about your MCAT? Please don't talk, just don't.

i'd rather have people brag about their grades in these semi-anonymous forums than in person during interviews (i've seen it happen more times than i thought would be possible).

I'd rather not have it at all.

The average matriculant GPA is below an A- average. 🙄

What the SDN crowd may forget from time to time: the average doctor is human.

A grade in a class does not predict how good of a doctor you'll be. Grades may predict how you'll achieve in medical school, but a B or C here or W and an F there may also NOT predict what kind of medical student you'll be.

Grades are taken into account, but they do not define you as a student. This is one reason the AMCAS is so unpleasant - if it were just grades, it would be much easier.

Got more B's than A's lots of B+s and even 1 C (General Chemistry) and 1 C+ (Inorganic Chemistry)

I have gotten one B+ and one A-, with the rest being A's. However that was since my transcripts were sent to amcas. The quarter directly after, the one that we didnt send to amcas I got a "c" and a "b". Good thing med schools wont see that until after they ask for my final transcript!😀

P.s. If you are getting angry at me for a near perfect gpa rest assured that my mcat is probably lower than yours.

ANYONE. How do you post a link in signature but have it saying something cool instead of web address, thanks!

No C's and more A's than B's. More than 5 B's I think.

2 B-'s
1 B
Multiple W's (entire term not individual courses)
