To all you people with multiple acceptances...

Listen up boys and girls. This man means business. If you don't, he will look for you, and he will find you. 😎

This stage of the application process is like the craziest game of musical chairs you've ever seen.

Hey man, I've already decided and withdrawn from all but 2 schools. I'm so paranoid that something is going to happen to my top choice acceptance. I can't bring myself to let go of my backup until I'm forced to do so. 🙁

Neurotic? Check.

LoL, I'd slapahoe.

No thanks Jeff.

I already had to plunk down another $500 for a school I'd drop in 2 seconds flat if I'm fortunate to move off a wait list. Soo take your time guys.

🤣

At this point though, most schools will wait till after May 15th anyway to pull of their waitlist. No point accepting someone who might still drop them before the deadline. Too risky. Better to wait and see how things shake out.

Sorry, I think I'm a little confused. Don't you *have* to decide by May 15th?

The sooner people pick their schools, the sooner others can come off of waitlists.

Given that applications open in May, it seems a bit lousy that people are allowed to wait until May to pick schools. It would make more sense if the application cycle's main time for accepting people was complete well in advance of the time when people who got universally rejected would need to reapply.

If they want people to choose earlier, they have to give financial aid earlier. I just got both of mine last week. I knew where I wanted to go, but for people on the fence that makes a difference.

I'm offering ten dollars of financial aid to the person who is holding my acceptance and going elsewhere if they drop their additional acceptance by today at five p.m.

This. Add to that the fact that many schools often have more acceptances than they do seats, and specifically wait until May 15th to see what their class looks like and if they have any additional seats. It's not a 1-to-1 ratio right now.

I'm STILL waiting on financial aid from one school...
