Hello guys!

I just took my OAT yesterday and did horrible. Didn't have much time to study for it, but I was tired of rescheduling it since things kept coming up. The question is, should I bother to even apply indicating that I'm retaking or wait to to retake the test, and then apply? If I wait, I would be cutting it close since the 90 waiting period cuts it to the end of December. I will be calling a few schools for opinion, but also wanted input from anyone who had the similar experience.
Here are the cringe worthy scores...it's pretty bad.
TS: 310
AA: 290
My lowest score was Physics 270 QR 280 OChem 290 Gen Chem 310 Bio 310 Reading 370.
I have not taken any Organic courses, so whatever studying I could do, I focused on Organic because I had no prior knowledge. Obviously I wasn't able to learn much orgo, and wasn't able to spend any time on the others.
My overall GPA ranges from 3.5-3.7 depending whether or not my prior radiology courses are counted. If it helps I have been working part time as a radiology technologist, and other hospital positions throughout college. My Bachelors is not in biology or chemistry, but Workforce Leadership, and I have three worthless Associates.
I checked thee stats and saw that PCO, IUSO, AZCOPT had the lower range of OAT scores. Should I even bother to send them in now? I know that I can improve my score immensely since I am starting in my Orgo class now, and actually have time to study now. Thank you in advance.

I'd say you still have a pretty good shot if you apply to those three schools. I'd guess you'd get into at least one of them.

You need to call the schools. Their email/phone numbers are listed on their page. Do a google search for the schools you are interested in.

Personally, I would not apply with 3 scores below the 300 range since I would really feel unprepared for Optometry school.

Most the schools I contacted with told me to apply so they can get my file started. You might get an interview in advance vs. compete for the last interview spots. They might require OAT score improvements later on, which you will do. Your GPA is good! Good luck!

I've gotten interviews from three different schools so far and my OAT scores are only AA:310 and TS: 300. I would for sure apply if I were you.
