To Retake and submit in August or Not...

Hi all,

Just took the DAT and this is my breakdown:

BIO 18
OCHEM 18
GCHEM 21
PAT 19
RC 18 (ran out of time!!)
QR 12 (ran out of time!!)

So it's evident that I need to retake, but since my 90 days isn't until mid June, I wanted to know if once I submit my app, will my updated DAT scores send to schools once I do a retake. If not, I will go ahead and submit early. Thanks.

You're better off retaking than submitting those scores. You wouldn't be doing yourself any favors.

I would submit to one school so that your application begins getting processed and your GPA verified. Then once you have your new DAT scores in AADSAS, apply to the rest of your schools. For me, personally, I would pick a school that I have no desire going to or is a total reach (like Harvard), so the low DAT score doesn't matter.

If you know that you will be struggling financially to do that, I would wait to submit.
