To retake or not..........

You all are making me nervous with the new format! I am/was planning on retaking the exam (I made a low B first time around, old format) at the end of the month, but now I'm not so sure I want to risk it as some of you sounded like you were scoring better on practice exams than I am currently. Just wanted to vent!

Also, I know the new format gives one "lump" score, so it's considered passing if you get a certain number correct out of 400, but are the individual subjects still somehow taken into account. I'm confused because it seems they are reporting the number correct in each subject, but is that just for one's personal knowledge? I mean, this is totally made up but say I'm weak in DAO, and normally I'd fail that section (say I get like 50/100), but I did stellar in micro/path (100/100), so could that potentially raise the number correct out of 400 to passing or is the fact that I do so crappy in gross still taken into account and considered an overall failure? I hope that wasn't too confusing...

Seems it's total correct that determines your score, they do not give you a separate scores per section, just a raw score of your performance oin each section and the nat. mean to the side. Also, at the bottom it says if you fail, you must take the whole test again, not sections anymore.

hi friend how r u i have taken new format exam and i score just 80 ,but now i am confused where i stand what should i do now to wait n give part 2 , will i be success in addmission on this score, share ur view ............. thanks

I would say wait and retake. I think there is a skew because of format change which will be stabilized after few weeks/months.

PS: don't take my words for granted. Maybe I am just rambling.
