To take biochem 2 or not?

If you did well in Biochem I, I think it would be a great addition as far as an upper-level science. Go for it.

I'm doing well in biochem 1 right now, but unfortunately, my prof is not covering metabolism, which I hear is a pretty big deal in d-school biochem.

That is the same exact situation i am in!!! I have an amazing biochem professor, but unfortunately, we will only cover chapters 1-14, metabolism starts with ch 15!!!!!!!😡👎

The only reason why i took biochem in the first place (we dont have biochem 1 and 2 at my school) is bc so many d-school students told me to take it for the metabolism.😱😱😱

What do you guys think i should do??? I took microbiology last semester, which covered metabolism briefly.

Don't be ridiculous. Don't take it unless you really enjoy it. It's not going to help you in dental school. Take the courses you like and that are interesting, not the ones you think will help you in your graduate program. You'll get plently of class time in dental school where they teach you everything you need to know... it's really not that difficult. You'll only get one chance (that's in college) to take random interesting courses that you won't get an opportunity to re-visit as you begin to specialize more and more. Plus, it never hurts to take a class that will bump up your GPA.

Science classes are usually my GPA boosters... and I enjoy them


Those non science"easy A" classes just don't work for me...
