To those of you already done with your academic year...

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
OSU-COM is off from first week of may to mid august lol

Are their schedule during the school year insane or something?

no its super chill haha. Its almost a travesty. I went to every home football game during first semester and took my wife on a weekly date or 2. #1 reason why I was happy I went to OSU lol.

Wow. You win life. Wtf?

Theres a reason our boards scores aren't the highest lol... However, its super nice if you are motivated because it basically makes it so that october (after neuro) - July 9th is dedicated for boards if you want. There are many of us who haven't listened to one of our professors lectures all of second year and just used FA/sketchy for class exams

Been done since March. #MS4life

Define "done". I wasn't physically done until late April but I mentally checked out as soon as I submitted my rank list (basically Feb) and was literally a warm body as soon as I found out I matched. Agree though, MS4 was pretty nice, lol.

Done, as in like I had nothing else to do but walk at graduation done. I had already matched, last eval for school was submitted and all my requirements were completed.

Dang, that's awesome. Our school requires us to be in clinic through April. It was all really easy, but would have been nice to not have to spend our money on pointless rotations or show up when our attendings knew we were just coasting...

And next year KCU students get a whole 8 weeks for summer. Just imagine condensing our curriculum. I don't know if I'm jealous or glad that we got the extra time xD.

Definitely jelly about that. We could've easily cut down on some of the free time before neuro I think that would allow us to be out in the sun all day playing golf/swimming/etc ugh

Eh, the non-artificial light burns my pale flesh.

How has the first year gone for you guys? 5 months ago I was excited about the prospect of starting... Now the dread as orientation looms closer grows daily, haha.

Had my EM shelf back in November. I have been checked out since then. Last rotation ended beginning of March. Also had two online electives! #MS4Life #abouttogetmybuttkickedJuly1
