What changes are you making? I am making sure I apply to MD, DO, and carribbean programs...I am sure that my priorities will change depending on how I do in my graduate program and how I do on the MCAT next year.

But what schools other than your state schools are you applying to? What kind of allopathic and osteopathic school accept out of state students? Are there schools that mostly accept out of state-nontrad-masters like students? Are there schools that are apt to admit students who show improvement?

I am applying in KY...so I will applying to the U of Louisville and U of Kentucky. Other than that I do not know what other allopathic programs to apply to...should I apply to private schools other than my state schools? I will be applying to U of Cincinnati since it is close by....

Any thoughts would be appreciated....thanks all...I know I am not applying until next year...but already want to get geared up...

Defintately apply to private schools. Look for stats of the schools and see where you will fit in. Also, i am not sure where, but you can find out how many KY people matriculated at the schools you are considering. If its very few then apply there, since the schools want to be diversified and brag "we student from over so and so states, and so and so schools". I think that there are some good DO schools in the mid states.

Can anyone give me a list of private schools that they also applied to? If so, would any consider a 3.2/ugrad and a 4.0/grad statistic? Thanks in advance...SDN is awesome!
