The last push to contact your legislative officers is today and we are requesting to make a phone call or email to your legislative officers if your Senator sits on the Super Committee. Below is the email, please get your colleagues to chime in!
First of all, many thanks for all of your efforts so far. Together, we have managed to generate quite a bit of discussion on the hill regarding cuts to GME, enough so that some believe that it is becoming more of a significant area of focus. So far, we have sent out well over 40000 emails, but we are not finished yet. Now that we have blanketed all of Congress, it is time to zero in on members of the Super Committee itself. Thats where you come in - if you received this email, it is because you reside in a state that is represented by a member of the Super Committee. What we are asking is that you ensure that your colleagues have either called or emailed (or both) your respective representative from the list below, on Friday, November 18th. If you have called or emailed already, we appreciate that and ask that you ensure that others have done so as well.
AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS EMAIL WE HAVE PROVIDED LINKS TO EMAIL (just fill in your information and it sends all of the emails for you) AND TO CALL. Please also post the links in this email to Facebook/twitter etc.
At this moment, amidst all that is going on, your voice is absolutely critical.
