It looks like people who use the robot "recreationally" are putting patients at the most risk and yield the smallest benefit.
This is undoubtedly a problem with the robot, although in the randomized trial of robot vs open for prostatectomy , there was quality control to make sure physicians had performed a sufficient number of procedures to take part in the trial.
