hi, its better to post your question in the international forum , to get more answers.
anyway to answer your question its more convenient ot give the CBT as you can schedule your exam anytime , paper based , i think is offered only few times a year.
it doesnt matter to universities if u have appeared for the PBT or CBT.
check out the toefl website for the details.
u can apply online and schedule your exam date online too .
i believe the pattern is changing this september , maybe you would want to give it before that..
