So I think I might have messed up. So far, I've only applied to South and Mercer, and I interviewed at both, and was wait-listed for both. Is it too late to send in applications for other schools now? I'm from Georgia, and I don't want to go too far away, but would it make sense now to apply to a few more schools in FL, AL, TN, etc? Or do pharmacy schools consider people who are late getting their apps in as the bottom of the barrel?

My GPA is around 3.4, and I made an 87 on the PCAT. I haven't worked in a pharmacy, but I do work in a hospital; I have shadowed a pharmacist at an independent pharmacy.

Any advice would be wonderful!

If the schools you apply to are on rolling admission, it'll be harder for you to get accepted because a decent percentage (probably ~50%) of the class will already be filled. I know one thing for certain, and that is your chance of admission is 0% if you don't apply, so unless you are severely strapped for cash, I suggest getting those applications in asap.

Schools that do not participate in rolling admission may not sent out interview offers until their appl deadline.

Why not apply to UGA? They don't start evaluating applications until February 1st, which is the deadline for applications to be received. Plus, Georgia has passed legislation for pharmacy students to receive 150 SH's of hope scholarship. I'm not sure how many credits of pre-req's that you have, but I only will have enough to get into either UGA or Mercer. Check out the AACP online site to find out more about schools.

I sent in my application to UGA tonight. I just have to get my transcripts sent in, but that'll take a while, considering that our registrar is closed until Jan.3.

I also sent one in to Samford in Alabama and East Tennessee State University. I know Samford doesn't do interviews until February, so that might help me. I'm not sure about ETSU, but I assume they aren't getting as many applicants since they're so new.

Thanks for the advice, guys.
