Hi everyone, I have a question about the secondary application cycle. I submitted my DO app on June 15th but because of delays in one transcript, that transcript did not get uploaded until July 8th. I had to resend it twice. Now I'm waiting for my application to be verified.

I call AACOMAS and they will do what they can do get the verification people to quickly verify me.

Is this almost too late in the application cycle? I'm worried my transcript delay hurt my chances.

i applied very early, and i am still waiting on receiving some secondaries. Just got LECOM yesterday. In total, I've only received about 9 secondaries from 21 schools so far. I dont think you need to worry about being late at all.

Unless you have really low stats, you're fine. Even if you do, it's still early in the cycle. I wasn't complete until June 30 or July 1 for the same reason, and I'm not worried. While some schools are giving out interviews, many are just starting to review complete applications. Start prewriting all your secondaries now so you can submit as soon as you're complete.

lol no, you are fine for the DO side. You are right on schedule. I would do two things, however:
1) make sure your MCAT score is sent over from AAMC into the AACOMAS system as there have been some strange delays there.
2) possibly start prewriting some secondaries while you are waiting to be verified so that you can have a faster turnaround.

Don't stress, you'll be okay!

hello,

I too am anxious (submitted on 7/3, pending verification :nailbiting:), even more so with interview invites being sent out already. I was wondering what you meant by having the MCAT score sent over from AAMC to AACOMAS? I filled in my test scores on AACOMAS, was I supposed to submit something else along with the scores?

Yes, you need to to the MCAT score reporting website and release your scores to AACOMAS. I know people who have waited for weeks for final verification because they didnt know they had to do this. They should make it more clear. Heres the link, go to "Send score report" at the top
