too late for WesternU/COMP?

Hi all,

For some reason, I did not receive confirmation that my application to WesternU was complete until today. Odd, considering I had all my materials submitted way back in December. At any rate, the confirmation email cites a "4 to 5-week processing time" at this point. Is it too late in the game to be considered for an admission, or even a late interview?

I have what I think are pretty decent stats, numbers-wise I am at a 30S MCAT and 3.8 GPA/3.65 science at an Ivy League school. WesternU may be my number one choice and I would kill for a shot at a spot there. Should I bother contacting admissions, or just sit tight for now?

Hrm.. yeah, that's weird. I sent my materials in early Jan., got the complete email a week later, and just got an interview invite last week.

In any case, they're still handing out interview invites. If you want to call, it wouldn't hurt. However, I wouldn't know what I would say to the admissions office. They processed your application, so it probably shouldn't be too late?

check out the school specific forum for westernU this year.....I heard that due to the excess accepted students from last year, the last interview date was set to be at beginning of Feb for this year...so I don't know if you still have a great shot at it. But obviously the best is just to keep calling them until you get the answer you want. GL.
