Around Septem 3-7th I will done with secondaries because I will be waiting for a letter of recommendation from a person I will be working with this summer.

I was wondering how is this date compared to when others complete their secondaries. How late would it be? Would it put me in a disadvantage?

I would really like this letter of req but is it worth it if I would be done mid-aug without it.

Will my secondary be considered without the submission of all the letter of recommendation?

Thanks!!

It will be marked complete when you send a packet of letters that fit their requirement. If this is an additional letter such as a volunteer supervisor, then you can send it in later as an update. But the sooner you send it in, the better.

As for Sept being late...I think it is. That's when I sent mine in and I got pretty screwed at a lot of rolling schools.

I have a similar question (sorry OP I dont mean to hi-jack your thread). My school has a committee that doesn't meet till October, which is super late. That said, there are a lot of schools that prefer or even require a committee recommendation...what should I do about those schools? I have LORs from professors and others that I can use for the schools not requiring a committee letter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

@OP: I don't know why you're bumping when I answered your question.

@Jones: If you have a committee, you must use it and if you don't, schools will ask you why in your secondaries (many will).
That being said, it's strange to think they meet in Oct b/c by Nov when they prob send it out, some schools would already be almost done giving out acceptances. Thus, every student from your school would be screwed. Maybe there's an earlier date they meet?

If it really is the case, just turn them in separately - all the required LORs and just write down the committee meets too late if schools ask.

Not that I do not take your opinion into consideration, I just wanted to see if others concur or differ in your opinion.

Thank-you "Notasking4much" for replying!

Yea, it really is the case unfortunately. I don't understand why. Should I call the schools that require a committee and ask them about it? Thanks for the helpful reply.
