not sure if it's too late, but I actually added 4 schools yesterday since I've only gotten 2 interviews so far. congrats on the pub! 👍

It is not too late. Get the secondaries done quickly.

You have a range of programs including some reach schools. As long as you have included every program that you would attend (geographically, based on the research they offer, etc.), then you are set. Again, get secondaries done asap.

No telling how you will do, but I would be surprised if you did not get at least a handful of interviews. Do not be surprised if you do not hear from schools until December or so... you are in for a long waiting game. Rejections tend to come faster than interviews. You will do fine!

We are applying to many of the same schools. I am finishing up my remaining secondaries this weekend: Miami, Stony Brook, Kansas University, and Northwestern this weekend. I think you should add Minnesota unless you have something against Minnesota. There is no secondary or secondary fee, and it is a strong program. This is also true for UT Southwestern as long as you are only applying to the MD/PhD program and do not want to be considered for MD.

NYU might be a stretch because there is a larger disadvantage for not applying earlier. But it doesn't hurt to try! You are at no disadvantage for Einstein or UNC. UNC will not review apps until November.
