Hey everyone, I just stumbled upon this site while trying to look up some info about DO schools. I'm currently in a pre-med post-bac at Drexel UCOM and just started looking into applying for DO.

I noticed that the application deadlines listed on the AACOM site were really early in the calendar year. Are those deadlines for people who will be entering in the summer/fall of 2009? Compared to medical school deadlines, people who apply this summer/fall will be getting in next year 2010.

My question is: is it too late to apply for the incoming class of 2010? Or am I reading the site completely wrong?

Thanks for helping out a DO newbie!🙂

I recently got confused about this too. The deadlines for the online AACOMAS
are for the end of this past/current cycle. The one for fall 2010 matric starts in June 09.

People who know more than I do, correct me if I'm leading this poor fellow n00b astray.

The deadlines are deadlines for the 2009 application cycle. In May, you can apply if you hope to get in for the fall of 2010 (Class of 2014).

Binko is right, June 1st 2009 starts the application season for 2010 matriculation.

Thanks everyone! That's great news for me (and I'm sure some of you who were confused as well)!

🙂
