Need pics to evaluate.

But seriously I think you're fine op. A 35 isn't that bad, you have an otherwise solid application, and you do have a decent number of mid and lower tier.

Is there a range of MCAT scores for MSTP or something? I think 35 is a pretty solid score, but I obviously know nothing. Can someone confirm what this guy says? On the AAMC MSTP powerpoint the range of MCAT scores were like 21 to 43.

I alluded to this in our other discussion, but in case anyone else is reading:

The people in charge of the AAMC data try to keep things purposely vague. I try to keep things purposely concrete to keep you guys from getting confused. But the people in charge of the AAMC data get together and talk behind my back about how nuts I am. So keep that in mind . Good ol academics. It's a lot like politics. If we don't commit to anything, we can't be wrong! So keep in mind I'm trying to help everyone make informed decisions, but I'm basically a guy behind a crystal ball.

If 4+ is excellent , 2 + is okay...then what is two 4month summers

that's what i applied with

I would have said it's below good and I hope you had an excellent GPA and mcat to make up for it. As I mention in the sticky thread you can be below good and still get in if the rest of the application is strong. Helpful factors would be if they were part of competitive undergraduate fellowships and if you had first author publications.

My general advice is to have 4 summers at a minimum or try to perform research during the year. Was your experience different?

No, I think what you said is accurate
